A NEW PICTURE OF AMERIKA

Barack Obama is one of the most known people at present.  He is the first coloured president of the United States of Amerika with an enlightened charisma. 

"Yes, we can!"

Amerika is not only the USA.

One of the most known people of the last century was Che Guevara. Now at this time a lot of people use his famous picture as a decorative element for t-shirts, covers ... But it is only an always up-to-date marketing that sells. Most of us don't know enough about this person and his ideology.

"Did Che Guevara change it?"

So we try to bring a little bit of American feeling on the street to Skodagasse with following program:

Music with old blues styles by Sasha Ploner, singer / songwriter style like Bob Dylan by Harlequin's Glance, Johnny Cash interpretationes and rock n'roll by Curbside Prophets and synergetic music of south american styles mixed up with lyric pop-, rock- and eastern punk elements by The Palomita Show. Break dance performance by Rap/e the street and you can be creative by buliding a Quilt, the "Skodagassen-Quilt" together with the artist Beate Wagner or you can bring your creative slogan in a few minutes on to a t-shirt by Foto-Event (the best 3 slogans will award a prize), or you can play a professionell tabletop football tournament by seeN-Organisation (the first three win a prize). Last but not least you can see an exhibition by Ernst Grandits looking into the subject of Barack Obama and Che Guvara in photographic way or an exhibiton by Edith Grandits and her special photographic look at vienna. At the Boots foot & leatherwear shop you can test and buy excellent special clothes and boots or you can listen to very special music in the Heureka! CD-Store or simply have fun drinking and eating on the street at Debakel, Lederer and Daun while listening to the live music.
