Sicut Erat breathe new fire into the ashes of a musical heritage burnt out by scholarly conservation.

Dressed in historical costumes they entertain the audience with a delightful repertoire of sheer & spirited ancient music.

Music

Sicut Erat plays medieval and renaissance music. With a lot of different historical instruments they lead their audience on a trip to bygone centuries. Frolicsome festivals on the village green with fiery dancing music on bagpipe, shawm and drums, lyric music on flutes and lutes to be enjoyed by noble court ladies and proud knights. But also magical tunes that lead to a time when fairies and dwarfts were dancing in the woods.
The musicians of Sicut Erat are professionals in different fields- from old music to classical music and also in musicology. Apart from this they all can be proud of an international concert career.

Albin Paulus: Bagpipe, shawms, flutes, jew's-harps, voice

Roman List: Bagpipe, hurdy-gurdy, historical lutes and guitares, organ, percussion

Patrick Feldner: oriental and european percussion, jew's-harp
