Frankie went to Hollywood but Paddy went to Budapest. Using his vast quantity of musical experience ranging from Irish traditional to Blues and Rock, Paddy McMullan composed, orchestrated and recorded his very own music with some great Hungarian musicians in some of the best recording studios in Budapest.     • Patrick McMullan, has been involved in music for more than 30 years including Irish trad., folk, rock, blues, folkrock fusion etc.

    • Patrick "Paddy" McMullan was born in Belfast. He began to play music in his teens and joined his first band "Doll's house" 1968 touring the whole country from Derry to Cork. This was a rock band and he continued playing with them until the the troubles came in 1969 when it became difficult to tour.

    • After moving to London in 1972 Paddy began to play in rhythm and blues bands as a bass guitarist with bands such as "Screaming Lord Sutch", "The Count Bishops" and later "Doctor Feelgood" where he recorded and toured all over Britain, Ireland, USA, Europe and Australia.

    • He has had many jam sessions with many musicians such as Gary Moore, Motörhead, The Waterboys, Alan Holdsworth, Randy California, Charlie Morgan, Ritchie Blackmore, Peter Green and Julian Lennon. He worked with producers like Bill Price (sex pistols) and Rob Townsend (supertramp).

    • In the early 80's he took another interest in Irish traditional and Irish folk music playing alone

      and with many Irish bands on the London Irish scene. Through his Hungarian girl friend Paddy

       

      was introduced to Budapest and to many fine Hungarian musicians. Patrick now lives in Budapest where he performs with his Band "The Irish Rovers of Budapest" .In Vienna he plays with almost all musicians of the Vienna session scene.
