The ''Godfather of electronic''

He is one of the pioneers of electronic music and influenced a lot of musicans (like B. Eno) for a new music style - the ambient music.
"Hans Joachim Roedelius is one of the true originals of modern music: His delicate and wistful comositions seem to com from some long and secret musical tradition: - like the meditations of Sufi poets, or the baikus of Zen monks. One senses that under their calm and unruffeld surfaces there are complex and deep currents". Brian Eno

M.Evans & D.Tice © HeuRekord 2005

Dave Tice was the frontman for Australias heavy rock pioneers 'Buffalo' and the voice of the legendary British R&B Band 'The Count Bishops'.
Mark Evans is the bass player from the classic line-up of AC/DC of the Bon Scott era.
They  have come together to form a hard edged acoustic duo featuring Dave's powerful vocals and blues harp. Years of experience ensures that an evening spent with these two professionals is bound to be a lot of fun.

After Crying

© After crying

"After Crying serves as a perfect melting pot for all these abilities, with its varied, dramaturgy-based shows that take the listener through different dimensions of time and space, either inside or of the outside world." - Changing from a chamber orchestra (cello, trumpet, piano, flute) to a full rock band on stage is just one second for these versatile and highly skilled performers. The pieces vary on the time-scale too: from one-minute musical jokes to 20 minute suites, from songs to instrumental pieces there is everything on the palette.

Headless Nation © HeuRekord 2005

Charismatic headman Patrick McMullan, whose long musical career brought him from Belfast to Budapest, and Austrian composer & masterhead Herbert Hütter have put their heads together to invent an exciting mixture of Electronic, Irish and Rock Music focusing on groove, humour and atmosphere. Particular attention is given to their live performance that makes it hard for the audience to keep their heads.

Vidampark (Marrypark)

If there's one in Hungray who yet knows what real rock'n'roll means then singer and songwriter Zsolt Öz is that guy. It?s in his blood from the very beginnings - the energy is just the same since he had founded his band - first only with 3 strings on his guitar. After just recording and mixing their new album 'Two Lemons' which is to be released soon, the band is rehearsing now their 2006 gig programme. The music and mood of the new album will feel familiar for persisiting Vidámpark listeners, but it holds surprizes for old and new funs, too. Besides the new ballads the band will play live several of their hits  from the last century.

Barbaro

How can man forget Barbro?

Who already had the chance to see them years ago knows there's no way to forget them. The unique guitar-playing of Sándor Cziránku is grown out to be a school itself. He 'turbojets' his Robert Fripp-like inventions with the traditional elements of the Hungarian and Balkan folk music and also with rock.

E.T. Project

© 2005

The band was founded three years ago on the occasion of a contemporary  dance-theatre, in which the E.T. Project provided the musical background. Since then the atmosphere of the theatre and incidental music has been the basic feature of the quintet. The aim of the E.T. Project is to realize the special fusion of the classical music, the jazz and the rock:It is a particular journey between impressionism, romanticism and the modern.

Sziami © 2005

This is boundless folk-rockmusic that bravely compounds the intellectual and beastly poetic(al) rock with Hungarian, Balcanian and Eastern folk, with ska and with the music of never-exsisting people. The unique music and words has earned the group an undiminished success for a long time in clubs as well as on festivals.

Napra

© 2005

Napra plays progressive world-music rooted in Hungarian and Balkan folk music. They put traditional folk music into a unique and powerful context so far unknown in Western Europe. The musical variegation is coming from the different styles and paths of the musicians. In case you wouldn?t be convinced till this time - just listen and you will know: Shamans are still living. They are coming from Hungary and doing magic right in between your ears.

OgiOneMan

Peter Ogi is just another legend from Hungary. He was one of the key figures of the Hungarian ?ancient punk? but shortly after his debutation he had to emigrate from the Hungarian political pursuit. He settled down in France and later in the USA, where he worked and made recordings with such names as Malcom McLaren, Stephane Holweck, Dougie Bowne, Yuka Honda, Rick Ford, Andy Anderson, Marcus Myers, Tin  Tinand Youth. He composed several award winning film music - still today it takes a great part of his work.
